Chicago Premier of Romeo & Bernadette

I am ecstatic to join the talented cast of MadKap's upcoming production of Romeo & Bernadette by Mark Saltzman to present the new musical's Chicago Premier at Skokie Theatre.

Last produced off-broadway at Theatre 555, the show was met with outstanding response winning several awards including Best Musical from Off Broadway Alliance, Drama Desk Awards for Mark Saltzman's book and music, and was named Critic's Pick by the New York Times.

I have the immense pleasure of playing Bernadette Penza, a Brooklyn Mafia Princess with more tenderness in her heart than she realizes and the object of a re-awoken Romeo's pursuit.

A new musical by Mark Saltzman. Shakespeare meets the modern-world in this delightful musical rom-com with songs based on traditional Italian melodies. After a 600 year nap, Romeo believes that Bernadette, the tough-as-nails daughter of a New York mob boss, is the reincarnation of his beloved Juliet. He pursues her to an America filled with whimsical characters, singing mobsters, and a family feud that puts the Montagues and Capulets to shame.
